Carrick Public Meeting
The Carrick Community Council invites residents, businesses, and community partners to attend our upcoming Quarterly Public Meeting on Tuesday, March 24 at 6:30 PM at Concord Elementary School. These meetings are an opportunity to stay informed about neighborhood initiatives, connect with neighbors, and share your ideas for Carrick’s future.
This quarter’s meeting will feature presentations from Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) on the upcoming Bus Line Refresh and Literacy Pittsburgh, highlighting programs that support adult education and workforce development.
Attendees will also hear updates on the Carrick Neighborhood Plan, upcoming events like our Home Resource Fair and Easter Egg Hunt, a Berg Place update from Amani Christian Development Corporation, and remarks from local elected officials.
All are welcome to attend. Whether you’re looking to get involved or simply stay informed, we hope you’ll join us.
Food Justice Potluck
Join us for a welcoming evening of food, conversation, and community connection at our March Food Justice Potluck!
Bring a dish to share and be part of a meaningful discussion about food access in Carrick. Together, we’ll explore ideas for community gardening, talk about improving grocery access in the neighborhood, and introduce the concept of the “Carrick Cupboard.” Whether you’re passionate about food justice or just curious to learn more, this is a great opportunity to connect with neighbors and share your voice.

Home Resource Fair
Join Carrick Community Council. Hilltop Alliance, Huntington Bank and NeighborWorks Western PA for a Home Resource Fair designated to empower both new and existing homeowners. Participants will learn about building home equity, saving on energy bills, budgeting and financial planning an home repair resources. Registration is encouraged. Scan QR code to register!

Development Activities Meeting
Carrick Community Council is hosting a Development Activities Meeting February 2, 2026 at 6:30pm. This meeting will be hosted in person at the Carrick Library. Projects discussed at this meeting will be: Roosevelt Early Childhood Center of Pittsburgh Public Schools.
Community members are encouraged to attend to learn more about the project and share their feedback.
Light Up Carrick
Join us for the 7th Annual Light Up Carrick on Friday, November 21st from 6–8 PM at the Phillips Park Rec Center (201 Parkfield Street)!

Meet at the Carrick Pavilion by 9:30 AM
Event Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Love Carrick Pavilion, 1529 Brownsville Rd
This city-wide clean-up event is a friendly competition among Pittsburgh neighborhoods to see who can pick up the most trash. It’s a fun, hands-on way to make a difference in Carrick while connecting with neighbors.
All supplies will be provided—just bring yourself, your energy, and your community pride!
After the clean-up, join us for the Closing Ceremony at Velum Fermentation from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.
